The Weekend

We have had a busy weekend.  Saturday, my mama came up with Miranda and John.  They stayed most of the day.  John has stayed here with us for the weekend and is leaving here to go to work today.  Saturday night, I went home to practice for Behold the Lamb of God.  I got to see my beautiful granddaughter thanks to Brian and Heather.  I got to spend an hour and a half with them.  It was wonderful.

Sunday, Nicholas Digital Communications teacher, Mrs. Brower came to see him.  He was so excited.  Friday morning he was online with the class from 8:30 until around 10am and he was on again this morning.  She is wonderful and Nicholas just loves her to death.  Sunday night, Jamie, Michael, Alex, Molly, Rachel, and Lauren came to visit.  I won’t lie – it was wonderful to see them all.  It is hard going a week without seeing your best friends.

It was busy, but wonderful.  It was good for Nick to be able to see friends from home.  We were sad to see them have to leave.  All in all it was a great weekend.  We are seeing Nicholas’ cough getting a little worse – which is what it’s supposed to do when all the junk begins to break up.  It should begin to taper off over the next few days and he should start the climb to getting better.

That’s pretty much it for now.  He is having his lung function today so I will post when we know what the deal is on that.

After all that meat loaf, creamed potatoes, garden peas and PUMPKIN pie, you should have gained at least 10 lbs. Glad you enjoyed it. I am glad things are starting to go up hill and you will be on your way home real soon. We miss you and know you miss all of us. I will pray for a speady recovery. Know you enjoyed the company over the week end and hope they can visit again. Friday will be a good day too. Fried pork chop, rice and green butter beans, biscuits and pie or cake. See you later.Love you, Nicholas.
