I think that’s a song by the Mamas and the Papas?
Nicholas is wide awake and in rare form this morning. He didn’t go to bed until around 2 am this morning, but was up bright and early. He says “those people that take out the trash, need to be more quiet in the morning with those bags.” That is hilarious. I didn’t even hear her this morning. He was literally standing on the bed this morning. This is the first time since we have been here that the doctor has seen him awake when she came on rounds. She didn’t believe it was him. I’m serious. She looked in the room and then she looked at the room number to make sure it was the right one. It was too funny.
His computer did some funny stuff this weekend and he wasn’t able to do anything he wanted to do. You know teenagers and their toys. So his great teacher brought him a new one and he is happy as can be. I know I would go crazy if I didn’t have mine either. :o) A computer is our only connection to the outside world.
Everything seems to be going well. The doctor says she can hear better air movement in his lungs this morning. His weight, while I reported it being up a couple of days ago, is fluctuating up and down. We are hoping for improvement in his weight – this is a factor they look at for going home as well. It’s not healthy for it to drop too low. As normal, his appetite has dropped off a little so they will be monitoring it closely. So we are just following the routine. I’ll post if anything changes.
